Margaret MacLeod
Our Director of Continuing Education Initiatives
Margaret MacLeod is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and a Washington State approved supervisor. She is Director of Continuing Education Initiatives at Lovewell Initiatives, LLC, a continuing education provider in Tacoma, Washington, offering training for mental health professionals grounded in reflexive, anti-oppressive, systemic practice. Margaret brings a wealth of experience in therapy, supervision, and education to that work, and to our mission of high-quality, socially just, and anti-oppressive training.

Margaret
Margaret is also a distinguished Teaching Faculty member in a COAMFTE Accredited Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) Program in the Seattle area. Her qualitative master’s degree research, conducted in Denton, TX, focused on parent-child sexuality education in families of persons with autism or Down syndrome, highlighting her dedication to inclusive and diverse educational practices.
As a trained Person of the Therapist (POTT) model trainer, Margaret is a sought-after presenter at state, national, and international levels. She regularly shares her insights and expertise on Harry Aponte’s POTT model, helping clinicians deepen their understanding of the therapist’s use of self in clinical practice.
Margaret's practice and supervisory work are based at Northwest Relationships, a social justice-oriented group practice in Tacoma, WA, where she continues to champion equitable and inclusive mental health care. In addition to her professional commitments.
Margaret is an avid gardener and serves as a speaker for the King County Master Gardener Growing Groceries program. She enjoys teaching people of all ages how to grow seasonal gardens, embodying her passion for nurturing growth both in and out of the therapy room.
